Duration: 4 Hours

Location: Nationwide

Training Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday  

1.1       This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks where a nominated person is required to take charge in the event of illness or accident. Fully qualified First Aiders in larger organisations can also benefit from additional support from Appointed Persons. This popular course provides a grounding in basic first aid for any employee, either to support the dedicated First Aider or to raise their general awareness of first aid.

1.2        Who should attend         

 A person who is the nominated person or who provides support to qualified First Aiders

1.3        What the trainee will learn

Basic lifesaving First Aid and the relevant regulations

1.4        Course content

             Insight into Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations

             Managing an incident

             Priorities of First Aid

             Resuscitation Blood loss

             Treatment of an unconscious casualty

             Treatment of shock

             General discussion on common workplace injuries

1.5         Assessment

             Continuous Assessment by Trainer

1.6         Certification

              RIFAA Emergency First Aid Appointed Person certificate valid for three years is issued on completion of assessment
