London Underground Medical Examinations

London Underground Medical Examinations, Drugs and Alcohol Medical Screening Programme (DAMSP)
 

Bridgen Training Services do not undertake Medical and/or Drugs and Alcohol Medical Screening Programme (DAMSP) These are undertaken by an independent London Underground Approved Medical Assessor.

Appointments can be arranged by Bridgen Training Services, but are not always available at short notice – they can take a week or more to schedule. In addition, please ensure that your medical appointment is scheduled to take place at least 5 working days before your course, to allow for the necessary medical documentation to be prepared – you will not be able to attend the course without it.

Entry Permit - Safety Induction (Suppliers) and/or Fire Training Courses

No medical certification or Drugs Alcohol Medical Screening Programme (DAMSP) required.

Medical Requirements Track/Depot Accustomed Person and Site Person in Charge

Duration: 1 - 2 Hours

Location: Bermondsey - Harrow

When presenting themselves for training suppliers staff must produce the original current copy of form TSW 028 – Contractors & Suppliers only - London Underground Safety on the Track (Medical Component) Medical Assessment for London Underground Certification to appropriate level (Track Accustomed Person) stamped by the medical assessor

If the medical is not in the name of the supplier and/or if the certificate is dated more than 3 months prior to the course) it must be supported with a Self Assessment Questionnaire TSW 024 and signed by the Supplier.

Certification of medical fitness for safety on the track certification is valid for 5 years (annually over 65 years of age) from the date of issue for all levels of track certification (unless a shorter validity time is applied by the assessing authority), after which time a medical examination is required.

Drugs Alcohol Medical Screening Programme (DAMSP) - (not applicable to Track/Depot Accustomed Person and Site Person in Charge (SPC))

Medical Requirements Track/Depot Competent Person, Protection Master and above.

Duration: 1 - 2 Hours

Location: Bermondsey

Must be in the name of the supplier

Current DAMSP certificate required for persons attending the Track/Depot Competent, Protection Master and above  training courses.

All specimens for drug and alcohol testing are collected under a strict chain of custody protocol. Drugs tested for are as follows:

BENZODIAZEPINES

OPIATES

METHAQUALONE

PHENCYCLIDINE
